Title IV- Federal Student Aid Program

Funding is available to those who qualify. Our Financial Aid staff works with each prospective student personally to determine their financial aid eligibility. Financial aid questions are answered clearly, and financial aid options are explained thoroughly so prospective students can move forward confidently and without delay. Financial Aid Packages may include Pell Grants, Subsidized and Unsubsidized Stafford Loans, or Parent Loans. All students who wish to apply for federal financial aid must complete a Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) or update existing FAFSA applications to include our school code 043044.

Federal Pell Grants provide need-based grants to low-income undergraduate and certain post baccalaureate students to promote access to post secondary education.

Grant amounts are dependent on: the student's expected family contribution (EFC); the cost of attendance (as determined by the institution); the student's enrollment status (full-time or part-time); and whether the student attends for a full academic year or less, who have not received their first bachelor's degree or who are enrolled in certain post baccalaureate programs that lead to teacher certification or licensure.

Direct Stafford Loans are student loans that must be repaid and are available to both undergraduate and graduate students. The interest rates may vary based on when the loan is borrowed. There are two types of Stafford loans:

  • Subsidized Stafford loan - A loan for which the government pays the interest while you are in school, during grace periods, and during any deferment periods.

  • Unsubsidized Stafford loan - A loan for which you are responsible for paying all the interest that accrues from the date of the first disbursement until the loan is paid in full.

The Parent PLUS Loan is a federal student loan available to the parents of dependent undergraduate students. Parents of dependent undergraduate students borrow the Parent PLUS Loan to help their children pay for college or career school. The Parent PLUS Loan offers a fixed interest rate and flexible loan limits.
